Now that we have the benefit of the risen Saviour, let's endeavour to spend quality time waiting upon Him like He teaches in Matthew 6:5-15. He will direct our paths.
Isaiah prophesied about the death of Jesus long before His appearance on earth. This was planned for the redemption of mankind, the salvation of the world. Isaiah 53.
There is reason to praise the Lord. Think of the prayers He has answered & praise Him for His goodness & faithfulness, including sending His son to us. Isaiah 25.
In Romans 16:25-27, Paul explains an important reason for Christ's coming. It wasn't a coincidence or unplanned. It had even been prophesied before He came.
The coming of Christ according to Luke 2:34-35, would be a blessing to some & a burden to others. Some would accept him, others would reject him. What about you?
God expected the Israelites to bring Him offerings to express their thankfulness to Him. He valued it. We may choose to do it differently, but do it. Leviticus 7:28-30.
There is so much to thank God for; starting with enabling us to wake up today & every day, family, work, business, trials, etc. His love endures forever. Psalms 136.
David's joy was partly caused by the recovery of the ark of the covenant. May our zeal for thanksgiving & praise be revived as we "re-discover" God. 1 Chronicles 16:1-3.
