As Paul wrote the letter to the Philippians, he was in prison. But you wouldn’t tell from the tone of the letter, that He was behind bars. His attitude did not show the circumstances he was facing. He delighted himself in the Lord. Philippians 4:4-9.

The word that comes to mind today is delight. We should delight ourselves in the Lord. This will endear us to Him. One sure way of doing this is offering our lives to Him as a living sacrifice. The benefits of doing this are outlined in Psalm 37:4 & 23.

Our love for God and for His other children should enable us to become the spiritual house and royal priesthood mentioned in verse 5 & 9-10 of 1 Peter 2. And as we worship God and support one another, our lives should be a witness to those who don’t believe. Verse 11 & 12.

Just like the stones in a building, we support one another and we are also dependent on the cornerstone. 1 Peter 2:7-10. We were created to live this way, but we often opt for other ways. We are meant to declare the praises of Jehovah. Let us do it.
