What's your focus: gifts & sacrifices for cleansing from sin or faith in Christ's sacrifice once for the redemption of mankind from sin & death? Hb8:3-4
Christ took the brunt for our sins to free us from the curse of death & the practice of blood sacrifice. What's the best way to show our gratitude? Hb9:16-28
How fortunate are those who believe in Christ & confess Him as Lord & Saviour, for there's now a new covenant. Only faith & a new lifestyle are needed Hb9:1-15
The Lord instituted a covenant with Israel. It proved ineffective & cumbersome. He graciously substituted it with a new one. He is merciful Hb7:11, 18 & 8:1-13
Abraham did not clearly see the result of keeping his part of the covenant-Christ's coming. He obeyed, left familiarity to depend on God. Hb2, 6:13-15, 11:11-19
Our God likes entering into covenants with His people. Right from the beginning He made a covenant with Abraham. Know your covenant with Him. Honour it Gen17
Do not provoke the Lord to anger. The consequences thereof can be dire. There is nothing worse than falling into the hands of an angry God 1 Kgs16:8-14.
No other God can be called our Father, friend or redeemer. No other God is coming back again. Our God is special. He is above everything. He is the Lord 2Sam22
Faith in God is key if He's going to do amazing things through us. It won't happen due to human effort. We shouldn't forget the importance of the cross Gal3:1-9
