Today’s Verse – Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

When we shared with Jesus in his death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-7; Colossians 2:12-15, 3:1-4), we died, but we are more alive than ever before. We were crucified with Christ, and now we are glorified with Christ in us. He works through us to bless others. This new life we now live in our bodies is no longer limited to our personal power. We are alive, and our new life is the work of Christ through us. This is the life empowered by faith in the one and only Savior, who has shown his love to us by giving himself to redeem us.

My Prayer…

Almighty and Holy God, thank you for sharing your life and power with me. Thank you for joining my life to Christ and having him come alive in me. May his love, grace, and power be seen in my actions and character. I want my new life to reflect Jesus and his presence in me so I can bring his grace to others and bring them to him. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
