Today’s Verse – Daniel 2:27-28

Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.”

Daniel 2:27-28

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Daniel spoke the ageless truth to King Nebuchadnezzar when he wanted his dream interpreted. The question for us is straightforward: “Do we believe what Daniel said?” What is the bedrock of our faith in uncertain times? Who knows where all the upheaval, tumult, and uncertainty are truly heading? In whom can we find the solution to our most perplexing problems? Where can our hearts find comfort in times of political upheaval and conflict? For Daniel and his friends, there was one solid and accurate answer: the LORD God of Israel. It wasn’t in the so-called wise teachers or sages of the day. It wasn’t in the religions of the East. It wasn’t in the super-spiritualists. It was and still is, in the LORD God alone.

My Prayer…

Dear Father, you are the One True and Living God! There is no one else and no other thing that can compare to you in splendor, righteousness, and majesty. To you, Father belongs all praise, honor, and glory. I trust you to lead my life and guide me into the understanding I need to do your will. I ask, dear Father, that you intervene in our world and call the cultures of nations and their leaders back to you! In the name of the LORD Jesus, I pray. Amen.
