And even as we pray for revival in the land, let us press in to be among the remnant. Those are the faithful who are consistent in seeking God and interceeding. We shouldn’t grow weary, neither should we loose hope. Isaiah 65:8-10 & Matthew 13:36-43

My prayer for Kenyans is that Philippians 4:8 would be our default setting. Please join me in praying for this. I feel it will prepare us for what God has in store for Kenya.

Kenya has received extraordinary favour in sports this past weekend. There have been other events in the recent past that also prove that God is doing something special here. May we pray that His purposes for this country shall come to pass. That none of them will abort. May the same apply to us individually. Take a few moments to meditate on Jeremiah 32:1-33:16. May nothing stand in the way of God’s plan for us individually and for Kenya. May we discover what He is saying concerning us and petition Him to fulfill it.

Remorse comes about due to an attitude of brokenness and humility. Being totally convicted of our wrongdoing will make it easier for correction to occur. If the woman in Luke 7:36-50 hadn’t had this attitude, her sins would not have been forgiven. Hardness of heart leads to judgement as seen in Obadiah 1:1-16. May the Lord help us to understand what we ought to do to receive mercy and grace.

What’s our attitude towards God and His love for us? Do we take it for granted or are we like the woman in Luke 7:36-50? Has he cancelled a big or small “debt” for you? Ponder and adjust your attitude if you need to.

God is merciful, but let’s not take that for granted. Being the apex of His creation, there are certain expectations He has of us. Consistency in matters faith is important and this is attainable through His power, love, courage & self- control or discipline. 2 Timothy 1:3-7.

For those keen on spending eternity with God, there are some truths that we need to ponder on. Firstly, flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, because they are perishable, 1 Corinthians 15:50. Our focus should therefore be on matters that are beyond the satisfaction of the flesh. We ought to focus on things that have eternal value.

To avoid being humiliated like Moab, one ought to allow God to do His will. Moab was once a strong but wicked nation that oppressed Israel. But the prophecy in Jeremiah 48:26-27 and verse 36-39, shows what can happen when the Lord deals with wickedness.

We in turn must strive to do good, even as we seek friends who are good and not wicked. Let’s be mindful as we serve others; we should serve willingly, not being motivated only by greed but leading by example. That way, those under us and those watching us will not be misled. 1 Peter 5:1-5.

After the warning about tithes and offerings in Malachi 3, the Lord challenges the people on what they have said against Him – Malachi 3:13-14. The people had resigned themselves to the fact that the wicked prosper and that service to God is futile. In verse 16-18, the Lord encourages those who choose to be faithful.
