One thing about the Lord is that we can be honest with Him. In Psalm 6:1-10, David opened up his heart to the Lord. He was weary from crying and asked the Lord for mercy. Let us not give up seeking God.
The other thing I purpose to hold onto is hope in God. Difficult times are not easy to bear, but when we are in His will, His grace abounds and hope keeps us looking forward to deliverance, because Jehovah is a loving God. Lamentations 3:16-26.
Our attitude and general disposition going forward needs to be based on our understanding of God and our relationship with Him. Who is God to me? How do I relate with Him? Am I growing in my walk with Him? Do I hear Him, do I follow where He leads […]
To fit into Moses’ shoes and lead the children of Israel, Joshua needed courage. Some of the things God is calling us to do with Him require courage. We can draw courage from knowing that we are in God’s will and that there is nothing too difficult for Him. Joshua […]
For changing circumstances a certain amount of resilience, faith, trust and grace is required. Willingness to learn is also key. Let us not forget that there is also an element of choice in all this. We have the privilege of free will concerning our lives. The words of prophet Azariah to King Asa in 2 Chronicles 15:2 echo this very well. My prayer is to constantly seek God so that […]
In Job 5:12-16 & 24, Eliphaz, as he falsely accuses Job of wrongdoing, he mentions some words of encouragement for anyone who may be feeling aggrieved or oppressed. May these words comfort and encourage you.
