And as we relate with the Lord and purpose to grow in our walk with Him, may His life fill us up and may He be seen in us increasingly. Psalm 96:1-6.

Over and above what we feel and how we reason things out, let us purpose to accord the Lord the praise and adoration only He deserves. The Almighty God, the creator of the universe has invited you and me to walk with Him. Our foremost response should be awe and humility, then the motivation to yield to Him who breathed life into me and gave me so many chances when I deserved none. May we not harden our hearts. Psalm 95:10-11.

A new week has started and we are going into a new month too. What is the Lord saying to you? What does He want you to do? How should your frame of mind be going forward? May we have the privilege of hearing God and being witnesses of His work in our midst. Psalm 95:6-9.

Is any of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray for him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith shall make the sick peeson well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Amen.

Once in a while, my wife and I pause and take stock of how faithful God has been to us. We are always amazed at all He has been to us and done for us. What also amazes us is all He has done for others around us. Take time and reflect on this. I hope it will encourage you and that you will be refreshed in your journey of faith. James 5:17-18.

The same scripture shows us that we can also draw encouragement from the testimony of others. James gives the example of Elijah the prophet. It may sound like an incident in the distant past, but the same God we serve came through to show His glory. What is your context today? May your faith in God grow as you experience Him in your situation and may your testimony encourage you and those around you. James 5:13-18.

Even as we purpose to pray for one another, let us consider the words of James 5:13-18. Faith in the King of kings is a good place to start. Let us believe that He is the creator of the universe and yet He desires to relate with us. He loves us that much. Have you reciprocated by loving Him? It is such an honour that this great and mighty God has offered His love to us. We are so fortunate.

James 5:16b teaches us that we should take time to pray for others and for issues around us. We may underestimate the potency of our prayers. One way of knowing what to pray for is by spending time with others in fellowship. Hear other people’s joys, pains, concerns and purpose to pray for them. Let us also check on one another frequently.

And as we allow the Lord to have His way in our lives, may He fill us up and everything that concerns us. May everything about us just radiate His glory. May His will be done in every situation concerning us. Ephesians 1:22-23.

May our lives be a manifestation of the character of our Creator, Jehovah. May the evidence of His presence in us not be in doubt, whether it is seen through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, or the hope of His glorious inheritance or His power. Ephesians 1:17-20.
