I sometimes get prayer fatigue when I pray for a situation or individual for a long time. I’m sure I am not alone in this. Yet, the Lord hears every petition we make. How He chooses to answer is His prerogative. May we hear from Him concerning that matter. Isaiah 26:16-19.

So, what is it that you desire in life? What are your cravings? Of what benefit are they? Do they make you a better person: a better brother, sister, son, daughter, professional? Do they benefit the society or your social networks or do they burden and cause others to strain? Do they build or destroy those around you? What impact do they have on you and on others? I hope we can all reflect and act on this for our own benefit and that of those around us. 1 John 2:15-17.

In 1 Samuel 24, David had a chance to kill Saul and become king. He relented and trusted God to make it happen without him sinning by killing the Lord’s anointed. He eventually got his heart’s desire by becoming king after Saul was killed in battle.

Mary and Martha must have been distressed waiting for Jesus and watching as their brother’s condition deteriorated and as he eventually passed away. But the Lord was still faithful. He knew what He would do. His disciples were more concerned about His safety. John 11:8-16.
