The Lord loves all irrespective of their background. He ministered to Cornelius and the other Gentiles gathered in his home just as He did to the Jews. Peter just obeyed and the Lord worked through him. May we have faith that we are loved and that He has a plan for us. We need to constantly seek Him to know what He desires for us. Acts 10:34-48.

On the other hand, the most repeated verse in the old testament is the one describing God’s nature. He is slow to anger and abiding in love and faithfulness. He is compassionate. He maintains love to thousands of generations; and forgives wickedness. He also punishes. No piece of wood or metal does that. Exodus 34:6-7.

May we realise that we need to invest more time in our relationship with God because He is the Lord of Lords. He is not nailed down to stay upright. He created the universe by His word. He doesn’t have to be renovated. He is omnipotent and omniscient!

The presence of God has benefits. It is therefore critical to be in His presence by knowing Him and loving Him. Not being in His presence means one is denied the guidance of His Spirit. And if we know Him and love Him, there is no place we can hide from His Spirit. Psalm 139:7-12.

Let us purpose to maintain our focus on God no matter what is going on around us. He hears us and He will speak to us concerning our situation. Pray and listen, then align to His will. Psalm 69:13-18.

And as I prioritise my relationship with God by placing Him before everything else in my life, even though I face difficult times I will be able to praise Him. Psalm 69:9 & 30.
