So no amount of distraction should divert us from His promises. HIS promises, not our idea of what the promises are. That focus should then eliminate worry. Lastly, may we prioritise Him and allow Him to occupy the driver’s seat in our lives. Then it shall be well. We will realise He is more than enough.

Standing on the promises of God is a skill we need to develop as Christians. The understanding that God’s timing is dependent on His sovereignty is something we ought to learn to accept. This should lead us to trust in Him more and to develop hope which should then motivate us to remain positive even as we wait to see the fulfilment of His word. Isaiah 25:1-12.

I choose to trust God because He is the Almighty God. I have seen His faithfulness and loving kindness throughout many generations. His wrath notwithstanding, He is gracious and kind. I praise Him for His unending love. Psalm 65

Due to the love of the Lord, I purpose not to focus my attention on evildoers. I pray for them, but I trust in the Lord for protection. May I continue to be a recipient of His love and mercy. Psalm 36:10-12.

The love of the Lord is exemplary. It is deeper than the deepest ocean. His faithfulness is beyond measure. We serve a righteous God who is full of wisdom. He is a provider and is faithful. May His name be praised. Psalm 36:5-9.

So, crazy things are going on all around us: the pandemic, job loss, a struggling economy and so on ??. The Lord knows. I hope we will choose to trust Him. I hope we will believe Him based on who He is, His promises and His track record. I know I want to praise and adore Him and to believe, that He will watch over us and continue to bless us in the midst of all that is going on. Psalm 103.

And as we pray and trust God to come through for us and for humanity, there will be opposition. The move of God has constantly been challenged due to its potential and what He says in His word. But He guarantees peace in Him in the midst of this opposition. May we believe that He has overcome the world. John 16:31-33.

We ought to pray for forgiveness for not doing our part, or that which God wants us to do, in different circumstances. God is true to His word. He will forgives us and help us. We should trust that this is true. John 16:23-30.

Rueben, Gilead, Dan and Asher were the 4 tribes accused of not helping in the battle to conquer the tribes of Canaan. Could this be why Israel was unable to drive them out? Israel settled among them and this led to idol worship, intermatriage that God had prohibited, etc. What has our failure to act as God intended led to? Judges 5.

Our partnership with God is key in the fulfilling of His purposes. We have a part to play. When we fail to do our part His plan is slowed down. May the Lord help is to stay on course. Judges 5:6-17.
