If we are to be accused of anything, let it not be corruption, murder, etc. Let it be our zeal for God, like what happened to Paul in Acts 25:13-22. Festus was at a loss to explain what the charges against Paul were. May the Lord help us.

In Luke 12:1-3, Jesus calls the Pharisees hypocrites. Hypocrisy can be defined as trying to appear good when one’s heart is far from God. It is knowing the truth but not obeying it. It is also living a self-serving life or reducing faith to a bunch of rules. It is outward conformity without inner reality. Are we guilty of this? May the Lord help us.

It is alright to be ambitious. But seek the Lord concerning what to do or not to do. We should put in effort in learning to love others like Christ did. That will help to bring out the best in them. The phrase striking a balance comes to mind when I think about those two things. May the Lord help us make good decisions no matter what we are going through. Psalms 127:1-2 and Eccl 12:1-14 will hopefully help us make sense of life.

I think I underestimate the power of love. When we show others genuine love, we impact their lives beyond what the eye can see. This inspires hope and makes others also reciprocate and or do the same to those around them. I will try and follow the example of God mentioned in many parts of the bible, e.g. in 1 John 4:7-12.

In our quest to increase, we may try doing it in our strength & wisdom and consequently experience frustration, fear, etc. But even then, God is willing to help us, just like He promised Israel in Isaiah 9:4-5, when they were going through judgement. Can we slow down & ask the Father to guide us & actually allow Him to do so? May we experience His peace & follow His lead.

We may try to figure out everything around us, but it is not possible. Generally, we are always yearning for more, money, power, success, etc. Only God can satisfy this yearning. He knows us fully. We have eternal value and that should give us peace. Ecclesiates 3:11.

Jesus’s life on earth was meant to achieve different things. He walked in divine purpose, but still experienced challenges. He overcame and nothing hindered Him from fulfilling His mission. He impacted lives and left a legacy. What is your life’s purpose? If you allow Him, God will walk with you to fulfill it. As we celebrate Easter, kindly reflect on this. May the realization of the importance of Christ’s coming dawn afresh on us and motivate us to live like He did Isaiah 26:3-8.

Are you tired of trying to do things on your own and failing over and over again? I do that sometimes. Let us purpose to do what Moses did in Exodus 33:15 continuously. Then we will be assured of operating in God’s will consistently.

As we go through life, we shall experience good and hard times. During exile in Babylon, the Lord raised a prophet to be His voice among the Jews. His name was Ezekiel, meaning God is strong or God strengthens. God knew His people would go through a difficult time, but He still encouraged them and walked with them Ezekiel 1:3 and Ezekiel 2:1-9. Don’t give up. The Lord knows what you are going through. Seek Him and follow His counsel.

As we run our individual races, we may be tempted to look at others running alongside us & compare our race to theirs. God has set a different running trail for each of us, so let us be encouraged by the words of Ecclesiates 9:11. Have a peaceful day and trust in the Lord.
