Finally, our appreciation for who God is is key. Hebrews 12:18-29 gives us a rough idea of who the Lord is. We are blessed to have Him as Lord and to have Jesus the mediator of the new covenant that entails the second coming. May our hearts be filled with joy and expectant hope of His return as we consistently reflect on this prospect. Have a joyous long weekend.

Remembering what the Lord does for us and has promised to do should make us appreciate Him and be thankful. The fact that we are breathing is a good enough reason to be thankful. Psalm 103:1-22 has a list of reasons that should always remind us to thank God.

Acknowledging what God does for us shows that we are grateful. May we never stop. Hopefully, His love for us will build our faith. May it show us that there is nothing impossible for Him. We all can testify that He has been good to us. Let us also believe that He can continue to bless us. Philippians 4:10-13.

A grateful heart is important, even in difficult times. It inspires hope that the Lord who came through for us before is still capable of doing it again. May we not forget to be thankful. The Lord honours gratitude. Luke 17:11-19.

Choosing life guarantees life both here and in eternity. It determines how we live. It is the rudder that directs our ship. There may be stormy seas on some days, but calm will return. May we choose life and enjoy the benefits of the Lord’s presence. May the assurance of His love and support bring hope. Proverbs 11:17-19.

May we purpose to choose life. Choosing God is choosing life. He will help us to follow Him. The important thing is the commitment to follow Him. He is merciful as well as able to help us. We need to trust Him and follow His lead. Deuteronomy 30:15-20.

Operating in God’s will spares us from self-destruction. Constantly hearing Him and allowing Him to direct our paths is the best insurance policy. May we remain teachable and keep finding favour with God. Deuteronomy 7:26

Changing as we get older is not easy. But nothing is impossible with God. As we yield to Him, He is able to guide us. May this be our reality. May we not struggle with conforming to His will and may the benefits abound. Ezekiel 36:26-27.

A humble and contrite heart pleases God, one that allows Him to direct it. When it is “soft”, He is able to direct it and mold it. On the other hand, a hardened heart is set and makes the person rigid, not teachable. May we not miss His rest due to hardened hearts. Hebrews 4:1-11.

May our desire to know God more never diminish, and may He honour us by allowing us to know Him more. I pray that He will hold us by the hand and keep guiding us, that He will speak to us and allow us to experience Him over and over again. May He become our go-to guy for everything. Psalm 25:1-9.
