The love of God the Father is seen in the lengths He goes to for us. He establishes a new covenant for our benefit and to do that He had to sacrifice His own Son. The intricacies of the establishment of the new covenant show His love for us. Hebrews 8:1-6.

The one we put our faith in is immortal, omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. We can depend on Him. Then we must accept that His will supercedes ours. He is merciful and gracious and He cares for us. Hebrews 7:18-28.

The love brethren have for each other should cause us to build each other up, stand in the gap for one another, be good ambassadors for Christ, be effective in prayer and in what the Lord wants us to do. I pray that this love would actually transform our environment. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13.

Timothy, Apollos, Priscilla and Aquila worked closely with Paul in his ministry and travelled with him sometimes. He trusted them and they trusted him. Due to mutual love, they accomplished much as a team and the gospel spread rapidly. Who is in your team? How effective is your ministry? 1 Corinthians 16:10-19.

Whether it is in Ephesians 4:2 & 32, or Romans 12:9-10, Paul emphasises the importance of loving and caring for each other. His respect for others is admirable. No wonder many people listened to him. That also explains the impact God enabled him to have during his lifetime and even up to this day. May we learn from him.

Paul dealt with some heavy doctrinal and societal issues in his 1st letter to the church at Corinth like divisions & disorder in the church, Christian marriage & freedom, apostleship, public worship, the Lord’s supper, spiritual gifts, the resurrection, etc. He also spoke to them about things that we may consider mundane, like details about his travels. He had a relationship with them. As we parent, train, mentor, may we not forget to be personal with those we interact with to the degree that we feel appropriate. 1 Corinthians 16:5-18.

There are situations we encounter that make us realise, that only the Lord can help us out of them. But deciding to follow Christ above all else is also a personal decision one can make even when not in a pressure cooker situation. John 14:4-6.
