What’s the duration of our stay on planet earth as opposed to eternity? May the desire to live out our divine purpose be the driving force behind our actions. If we only had 6 months to live, how would we conduct ourselves? Psalm 39:4-6.

Having faith in God as a starting point is also critical when we are facing life altering challenges. Through the heartache and pain it is important to remember that we can turn to God. He is not oblivious of our circumstances. In Him there is grace sufficient for any situation. Psalm 39:1-3.

As we serve God, may we avoid focusing on the rewards we deserve for our service. That could lead to frustration. In Jeremiah 45:1-5, Baruch, Jeremiah’s scribe had gotten tired of writing about God’s judgement on Israel. He was worn out. May we focus on the privilege of serving God.
