After the Jews were taken captive as the Lord had decreed, the lived in exile. The Lord asked them to live, have children and grow crops. Then he touched their conquerors who in turn allowed them to rebuild His temple in Jerusalem and supported the work. His word came to pass. Let’s keep praising Him. He is faithful. What is His word concerning you? Ezra 6:1-22.

Psalm 47 may have been written about the invasion of Judah by Assyria. The priests praised and worshipped despite the imminent danger. Desperation caused them to seek God. May we not give up despite the difficult circumstances we find ourselves in. We serve a mighty God.

We praise and worship Jehovah because He is worthy of praise. We also do so because of our experiences. These help us put His greatness into perspective. We serve a mighty God. 1 Chronicles 16:8-36.

As Paul wrote the letter to the Philippians, he was in prison. But you wouldn’t tell from the tone of the letter, that He was behind bars. His attitude did not show the circumstances he was facing. He delighted himself in the Lord. Philippians 4:4-9.
