So, let us rely on God’s love. Let us be reassured that He truly cares for us and, in turn, lets us love others as God loves us. That will help us in many ways and will make life much easier. May this bring hope to humanity. 1 John 4:16-21.

The Lord’s promise we read yesterday was made after God’s children had been so unfaithful. The people had been so disobedient and had angered God, yet He was willing to forgive them and restore them. They had already been through some serious punishment but did not repent. They probably felt God was too angry to have mercy on them. The Lord is merciful and gracious. May we always turn back to Him no matter how far we have strayed. Isaiah 43:22-26

May the Lord cause all that conspired against you to be defeated. May He establish you and start a new season that causes His name to be glorified. May His wisdom, grace, and favour accompany you in this new dispensation and into the future. Isaiah 43:14-19.

In Isaiah 61:1-3, the Lord encourages the poor, the brokenhearted, the captives, prisoners, and the bereaved. He promises good news, freedom, release from darkness and comfort. May relief be their portion and joy their benefit.

Humility, faith, and the mercy of God were important ingredients in the healing of the gallant soldier. Naaman took a step of faith in going to Samaria to seek a solution to his problem. God ensured that Elisha got to hear about the king’s frustration. Humility made the soldier dip himself in a river that didn’t compare to those back in Damascus. His servants also played a role in convincing him to obey. May our problem be located by God’s favour. 2 Kings 5:6-17.

Helplessness was not on Naaman’s mind, when he saw an opportunity to get help. He had not given up despite being sick for a long time. May we see the move of God and respond appropriately. May we avoid distractions and see or hear God clearly. May we be convicted to do what He desires. 2 Kings 5:2-5.

In 2 Kings 5:1, there is a brave soldier who was a captain in the army. He was dependable and a great soldier and leader, but he had leprosy. This disease did not stop him from doing what he needed to do. He excelled in his career despite his illness. What’s your challenge? Does it define you or stop you from being who you are supposed to be? Are you able to excel despite this challenge?

I may be mortal and fallible, but I serve the Lord God almighty. He is my ever present help, a resource that is always available to me. I choose to depend on Him, not on my own strength. I purpose to fear and honour Him. May I find favour in His sight. Psalm 103:15-18.

I purpose to invoke faith continuously as I journey through life. I have decided to make the Lord’s presence my dwelling place. I am tired of looking over my shoulder in fear. I will rest in the shadow of His wings and depend on Him. I will trust in His help. Psalm 91:1-16.

Whether we have all that we need or we are in distress, our perspective of God should not change. He remains God. Being content, whatever the circumstances would help us a great deal. Having the confidence that He can help us irrespective of what we are faced with would not only encourage others. It would also require a lot of faith and build our trust in Him. Philippians 4:10-13
