Faith in God requires us to place our trust in whom He says He is. Jehovah is the everlasting God and our confession of Him should influence our very being and existence. May we acknowledge that He is God and that besides Him there is no other to be worshipped and adored. Hebrews 1:8-12.

As we trust God to work in us and in the circumstances we are in, let us adopt a spirit of thanksgiving. He avails grace on a daily basis for us to do what He wants us to do. Praise Him and trust that He is watching over us. May we be found in His will and may His peace be our portion. Psalm 47:1-9.

As we go about our day in the midst of all that is happening around is and in our lives, may we make every effort to work as unto the Lord. May He be seen in our diligence. May His love pour out of our lives onto those around us. Colossians 2:23-24.

So let not the length of your challenge discourage you, nor the intensity of the season, because the Lord knows what you have to endure. May we learn that He is the only one who can deliver us and He is best suited to guide us. May we always find peace in His rest. Jeremiah 17:7-8.

There are some things that you had tried doing for so long without success and you had felt frustrated. Without much fuss, they will get done in God’s time. He is the Almighty Father. May we be witnesses of such occurrences and this be an encouragement to us and many others. John 11:41-44.

Walking in God’s rest will be of great benefit to us, but let us not think that that is the only purpose of this privilege. There are countless others who will be beneficiaries of the same. So let us purpose to remain committed and faithful to the Lord. John 9:13-27.

So, are you available to God? He would like to walk with you and work in and through you to fulfil His purposes. Are you too busy for Him? When you are in His rest, it is easier to hear Him and do His will and that way have the impact He would like you to have. Revelation 3:20.

But let us not forget our bigger motivation even as we desire to operate in God’s rest, that is the eternal rest. That should be our goal for ourselves and those the Lord has placed in our sphere of influence. The heavenly dwelling should be our end game plan. 2 Corinthians 5:1-10.

Rest in God doesn’t exclude us from challenges. It is also dependent on us doing God’s will and on His mercy. May we be in close fellowship with Him constantly to understand our circumstances and may we be guided by Him always. Hebrews 10:32-34.

Hebrews 10:37-39 goes on to exhort us to live by faith and not to shrink back thus displeasing God. Operating in God’s rest requires faith. In fact, the Sheng expression “faith mwenda” or crazy faith, aptly describes the sort of faith required. May we stand on His promises and not shrink back.
