As we give thanks, let us trust that the Lord will protect us and fulfill His purpose for us. We all have plans, but let us submit them to the Lord and pray that His love for us will cause Him to do what is best for us. Psalm 138:7-8

The Lord is merciful, loving and gracious. He blesses us and protects us. His love endures forever. He will never leave us nor forsake us. So let us choose to give thanks and to exalt the Lord, for He is faithful. Psalm 138:1-8.

Whatever our circumstances are, we should offer a prayer of faith or thanksgiving. The Lord hears our prayers and answers. He is merciful and loving. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Share your prayer request with someone and pray together. James 5:13-18.

Even when those people and circumstances causing us grief seem to be powerful and unstoppable, let us not forget that we serve a mighty God. Nothing catches Him by surprise. He is a man of war. Jeremiah 20:11-12.

When we dare forget how majestic God is or feel overwhelmed by our circumstances and cannot see a way out, let us consider what the Lord told Job in Job 38:1-18. He is the one who created day and night. He put the oceans where they are. He laid the foundations of the earth.

Let us make every effort to pass on a godly heritage to our children. We need to teach them the word of God and show them how to have a good relationship with God. Getting them to understand that and to practice it is the best we can do for them. It will be their source of guidance and their orientation point in life. Judges 2:6-15.

The devil is so keen on distracting Christians from the commission to go and make disciples and minister to the people because he knows the impact that can have on humanity. May we see through his plans and persevere and impact the world for God’s glory. Luke 10:1-16.

Over and above trying to live a life that glorifies God, there may be spiritual battles waged against us. We know the enemy’s modus operandi. But Jehovah is on our side. He is greater than all our enemies put together. May He protect us and defeat every wicked scheme plotted against us. Psalm 3:1-8.
