Over and above trying to live a life that glorifies God, there may be spiritual battles waged against us. We know the enemy’s modus operandi. But Jehovah is on our side. He is greater than all our enemies put together. May He protect us and defeat every wicked scheme plotted against us. Psalm 3:1-8.

We may not see the outcome of the plans of God at the moment, but we can trust that He will fulfill what He promised. He knows our circumstances, and He cares. Isaiah 25:1-8.

The Lord keeps His word, I will therefore try my best to stay in His will. I will try and base my hopes on His plan for me. I will use His word to give me direction because it is probably the most consistent way He speaks to me. Isaiah 46:9-11.

What should keep us glued to what will happen next? Hope. What can reassure us that we shall go through this day and see tomorrow? Hope and probably confidence based on past experiences. Are we always sure about outcomes? Or does hope help us take a step of faith? Did the disciples have hope, or did they just follow Christ blindly? Did their hope pay off eventually? John 15:18-16:16.

David was anointed by Samuel, but it took 20 years for him to be installed as king over Israel. May our hope in God not fade away. He is faithful. 1 Samuel 16:1-13; 1 Chronicles 11:1-3.

May our focus be on the Lord and His purpose for us. May we depend on His grace for laser focus that will help us avoid distraction. He has promised to fill us with hope that will not die off. Proverbs 23:17-18.

The reason for the coming of Christ was to restore mankind back to God. May we realise that we need restoration. May we be broken and humble enough to accept that we need His help, and may we return to Him. May He restore our relationship with Him and with those around us, our health, our priorities, our finances, etc. May this Easter not just be a routine. May the death and resurrection of Christ count for something. And that is growth. Luke 15:11-24.

Growth comes partly from revelation. May the Lord reveal Himself to us over and over again. May we be increasingly acquainted with Him and be transformed to be more like Him. Genesis 35:6-15.

My expectation is to grow in knowing God and my life reflecting Him in all areas. May the Lord help me to reflect Him always. I may be in a similar environment with others, but I pray that my life will stand out for His glory. Matthew 14:22-33.

The Redeemer of the children of God is in our midst. What is your expectation? If you lived when He walked on the earth, what would you have expected of Him? Mark 3:7-12.
