Hearing what God says would help us not to worry. Whatever we are going through would not unsettle us if we heard God concerning that situation. May that be our portion. May the Lord reach out to us and reassure us. Psalm 23:4, 86:5-11.

I was reminded that I have to keep casting all my cares on the Lord. 1 Peter 5:7. As I try to surrender all to Him, I should also give up my worries. What is bothering you today? Remember that the Lord cares for you and that He is able to do all things. He was present at the beginning, and nothing is too difficult for Him. Genesis 1:2. Worrying makes one anxious.

There is also the benefit of intercession. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us in accordance with God’s will, for He knows the mind of God. May we purpose to allow Him room to operate in us. May we nurture our relationship with Him. Romans 8:26-27.

If we are going to walk in step with the Holy Spirit, there are a few things we need to consider. The church in Corinth was having a challenge with lifestyle and Paul’s advice in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 hopefully helped them. May we try and honour the Lord by the way we live.

After the amazing ministry of Jesus on earth, the body of Christ needed a Helper to teach us all things and remind us of what Christ had done and taught. We need the Holy Spirit to thrive and be effective in our kingdom assignment. John 14:26.

After Nehemiah had completed the rebuilding of the wall and reinstated temple worship, he went back to work. Afterward, he applied for leave and went back to Jerusalem to correct some things that were not right. His dedication was admirable. He requested the Lord to remember His labour. May the Lord help us see what we can do for His kingdom and enable us to do an amazing job. Nehemiah 13:14, 22, 29, 31.

The rules the Israelites had to follow to achieve the threshold of righteousness before the coming of Jesus were not easy to adhere to. I would have been a frequent offender. Yet they still followed Nehemiah in rededicating themselves to God. They made an effort to live according to the ordinances. What is expected of the Christian today? Is it as complicated as it was before Christ’s coming? May we put in effort to live for God. Nehemiah 10:28-39.
