Adversity occupies us, sometimes it consumes us to the point of destruction. During that time, we may not feel God’s presence. Yet, if we have surrendered our lives to Him, He is always with us. Remember Romans 8:35.

There is not giving up, then there is Isaiah 26:4! It comes after the famous verse 3, and I had never focused on verse 4. We are encouraged to trust in the Lord FOREVER! No giving up. May we live to see Him come through for us and those around us so that we may have a witness.

And even as we depend on the Lord for ourselves, let us not forget to pray for our country. In Exodus 32:1-14, one man interceded for his people and the Lord had mercy and a remnant was salvaged. Please stand in the gap.

When things are working out for us, may we never forget the Lord. If we put our faith in that which appears to sustain us, may we heed the warning of Psalm 33:17-19. Let us acknowledge that it is the Lord who sustains us and causes us to prosper.

The importance of standing firm on the word of God and dwelling in divine purpose is given credence by the words of Psalm 33:4-12, especially verse 4, 6, 11-12. No matter the challenge, may we stand firm and rely on Him.

Sometimes the difference between success and failure, living in divine purpose and not, is based on what you know. It is therefore important that you know what you live for, strive for, believe, why you do what you do. Hopefully you will allow the Lord to inform what you know, believe, live for. Then you will be sure that Deuteronomy 31:8 and Joshua 1:5, amongst many other scriptures are true concerning you.

If the spies had not done their work, would Joshua and the other tribesmen have gotten feedback on the deliverance the Lord had already given them? Do we accomplish our tasks well? Rahab and her loved ones were later spared due to her following the instructions she got. May we be careful to do our work as parents, siblings, friends, divine helpers, etc as the Lord guides us. That may determine a big outcome for someone. Joshua 2:12-24

So how is it that brethren with a strong relationship with God face such great opposition? It is explained in Joshua 2:8-11. The opposition see the Lord’s work in us and the potential for further greatness and they can’t stand that. May we get revelation and hold unswervingly on our faith.
