The love of the Lord is amazing. He cares even for the youngest convert. The parable of the vineyard workers in Matthew 20:1-16 illustrates that. We who have been saved longer should not grumble when recent converts experience God’s abundant love.

The rebuilding of the temple was a physical sign of God’s faithfulness to His word. I’m sure many were encouraged by this. Ezra’s mission was to restore the spiritual life of God’s children which had been diluted by practices that made their hearts turn away from God. Even as we trust God for physical blessings, may we focus on our walk with Him. Ezra 6:19-7:10.

After the Jews were taken captive as the Lord had decreed, the lived in exile. The Lord asked them to live, have children and grow crops. Then he touched their conquerors who in turn allowed them to rebuild His temple in Jerusalem and supported the work. His word came to pass. Let’s keep praising Him. He is faithful. What is His word concerning you? Ezra 6:1-22.

Psalm 47 may have been written about the invasion of Judah by Assyria. The priests praised and worshipped despite the imminent danger. Desperation caused them to seek God. May we not give up despite the difficult circumstances we find ourselves in. We serve a mighty God.
