Just like the stones in a building, we support one another and we are also dependent on the cornerstone. 1 Peter 2:7-10. We were created to live this way, but we often opt for other ways. We are meant to declare the praises of Jehovah. Let us do it.

Just like in Ahab’s day, there are prophets and prophets. Firstly, whom are you listening to? Secondly, do you really want to hear what the Lord is saying? Ahab didn’t really want to hear what Micaiah had to say. 2 Chronicles 18:14-17.

King Ahab was known for his wickedness. Majority of the prophets during his reign did not tell him the truth, except Micaiah. The Lord even sent a lying spirit to speak through the prophets because He was fed up with Ahab. May we always be on the Lord’s side. If we get caught up in wickedness, may the Lord convict us to repent and may we obey quickly. 2 Chronicles 18:12-21.

So let us go about our day with grateful hearts that are humble and contrite, abiding in God’s will. We serve a loving, merciful and faithful God. He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 & 5.

Nothing can outdo the will of God for you if you abide in Him. Herod tried killing all the male children in Bethlehem and its environs who were aged two years and under so as to get rid of the king of the Jews who was to be born there. But Jesus still survived and fulfilled God’s plan for humanity. Matthew 2:16.

The hope we have in God should not be just a feeling that things will improve in the future. May we be witnesses of its fulfillment over and over again, just like the disciples lived to see Christ live again and the church of God take root. May His power be manifest in our midst and may the body of Christ be encouraged by His ministry. Ephesians 1:17-21.

I sometimes spend time trying to figure out how some things will be resolved or will work out, but I don’t see how it will happen. But eventually things work out. I am therefore trying to learn to keep an open mind. The building of the temple was stopped, lies were peddled to frustrate this effort, but God’s will prevailed. Ezra 5:6-17.
