One thing I’m learning is to allow God to be tha main focus of my life. He is the reason I exist and everything should be directed by Him. I hope I can stop operating in my own wisdom and strength and allow Him to guide me by His wisdom and strength. May I always place my relationship with Him first. Acts 17:24-28.

At this point in Psalm 17, David had been anointed as king, but Saul was still ruling over Israel. Saul was pursuing David to kill him and David must have been stressed, hiding from Saul. David must also have desired to sit on the throne, but he did not dare harm Saul. 1 Samuel 26:7-12. Yet David still focused on eternity. That to him seemed the ultimate fulfillment of his heart’s desire. Psalm 17:15.

Relief from our day to day struggles is always welcome and I pray we experience it every day. I’m sure we have enjoyed it in the past and it will keep being our portion. May we always be grateful for it. But let eternity be our primary focus. Psalm 17:10-15.
