The Word of God has many examples of God’s faithfulness throughout the ages. Let us keep praying that He would have mercy on us and that we may continue enjoying His faithfulness. Psalm 85:1-7.

One reason for pressing on in prayer is God’s faithfulness. I’m sure if we take time to evaluate our lives and the lives of those around us we will attest to His faithfulness. Despite Peter’s temper, denial of Christ, etc, the promise of Matthew 16:18-19 concerning him still came to pass after the death of Jesus. Peter became an integral member of the leadership of the church.

Part of our walk of faith us upholding ourselves and others in prayer. We also pray for circumstances as the Lord leads us. Let us not give up. Press in and trust Him. Isaiah 62:6-9.

So hopefully we will accept God’s mercy and love extended to us through the death of Christ on the cross, if we hadn’t done so already. And if we had, may we always remember this great opportunity and forever be grateful for it. God operates in mercy and love and we should also emulate Him as much as we can. Happy Easter ? ?. John 3:16-17.

His mercy is seen in the Easter story too. Death to self and new life in Him is an acceptance of His mercy. New life in Him is made possible by the Wonderful Counsellor. If Easter never happened, if God never extended His mercy towards us, things would have been different. Titus 3:6-7.

Titus 3:3-5 shows two categories of people, those who have surrendered their lives to the Lord and enjoy the benefits thereof, and those who haven’t and the consequences of not accepting Him. Accepting His mercy makes a world of a difference.

Because of God’s mercy on a daily basis we are spared so many things. Lamentations 3:22-23 says His mercies are new every morning. Lord, we are grateful for your love and compassion towards us. Amen.

Our worth because of being God’s children is great, and it also comes with benefits like mercy as we saw in 1 Peter 2:10. Because of what Jesus experienced on earth, He is merciful. Hebrews 4:14-16.
