Philippians 4:8 advises us on what thoughts to focus on. There are enough things that can disrupt our peace, but let us try to commit them to God in prayer and trust that He can watch over us. When His will differs from ours, may our peace still remain intact.

I was reminded yesterday why Philippians 4:6-7 admonishes us not to be anxious about anything. Anxiety causes illness. Verse 6b has the solution to our worries. Verse 7 gives us the benefits of following the advice given in 6b. May we find peace even in the midst of the most difficult challenges.

Many of the things we worry about we cannot do much about. We must learn to take them to the Lord in prayer and trust that He will do what is best. Psalm 111:1-10.

What’s on your mind? What is causing you anxiety? Those things can cause our pressure to rise and interfere with our lives. But there is one who knows us very well, probably better than we know ourselves. May we learn to hand over our worries to Him. John 1:44-48.

A glance at the history of God’s children will reveal that He never left His children alone. He ministered to them personally, or Jesus did likewise and after resurrection, the Holy Spirit was given the mandate to walk with them. We have a responsibility that will ensure His presence continues to abide with us. Hebrews 13:1-6.

By trusting Jehovah with our lives, we are not surrendering to an unreasonable Master who is not approachable and out of touch with our reality. He is caring and concerned about us. Hebrews 12:18-24.

To be able to live like 1 Corinthians 15:58 suggests, we need God’s help. We cannot do it on our own. Acknowledging God’s role is a good place to start. Galatians 2:20.
