Prayer draws us close to God and allows us to hear Him if we do not harden our hearts. The people of Jerusalem had hardened their hearts and refused to even listen to a prophet sent to redirect them. They became callous. That happens when we don’t spend quality time with God. Isaiah 28:9-15.

Prayer offered in faith and from a sincere heart has impact according to James 5:13-18. Our expectations may not be met as we would like, but the prayers have impact. May we not despair as far as prayer is concerned.

Anxiety can affect any of us when we feel overwhelmed by the circumstances of life. When that happens, our health can easily suffer. Our output can also be affected. May we learn to persist in prayer. May we trust that God can help us overcome. May we have the fortitude to hear and see a way out, a solution. May we depend on His wisdom and power and may our faith be uplifted and bring hope. Luke 18:1-8.

May we purpose to be close to God, to seek Him and walk in His ways. May we revere Him and give Him honour and glory. Psalm 34 says that His eyes are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry. May we desire His presence continuously.

Jesus had a special relationship with the disciples and He revealed many things to them. Could we also have a relationship with Him that enables us to enjoy benefits like receiving the Holy Spirit, being loved by Him and the Father and being fruitful? John 14:21, 15:1-5.
