May we purpose to be close to God, to seek Him and walk in His ways. May we revere Him and give Him honour and glory. Psalm 34 says that His eyes are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry. May we desire His presence continuously.

Jesus had a special relationship with the disciples and He revealed many things to them. Could we also have a relationship with Him that enables us to enjoy benefits like receiving the Holy Spirit, being loved by Him and the Father and being fruitful? John 14:21, 15:1-5.

May our trust in God increase. May we believe what Jesus said in John 14:15-18 and actually see the Counsellor or Advocate, the Spirit of truth at work in our lives and in our midst, and be convinced of the Lord’s love for us. May we discover what His good plan for us is and trust Him as He guides us day to day. May we trust Him more, dear friends.

May our love for God attract His favour so that the end result is what is described in John 14:23. May He choose to come and dwell with us. May His presence and the resultant benefits be our portion in Jesus’s name. Amen.
