One thing I’m learning is to allow God to be tha main focus of my life. He is the reason I exist and everything should be directed by Him. I hope I can stop operating in my own wisdom and strength and allow Him to guide me by His wisdom and strength. May I always place my relationship with Him first. Acts 17:24-28.

At this point in Psalm 17, David had been anointed as king, but Saul was still ruling over Israel. Saul was pursuing David to kill him and David must have been stressed, hiding from Saul. David must also have desired to sit on the throne, but he did not dare harm Saul. 1 Samuel 26:7-12. Yet David still focused on eternity. That to him seemed the ultimate fulfillment of his heart’s desire. Psalm 17:15.

Relief from our day to day struggles is always welcome and I pray we experience it every day. I’m sure we have enjoyed it in the past and it will keep being our portion. May we always be grateful for it. But let eternity be our primary focus. Psalm 17:10-15.

Responsibilities seem to increase as we get older. Time seems to move faster than before. We seem to always be lagging behind because of the many things to be accomplished. Let us trust the creator of the universe to help us day by day so that we may do His will each day. Psalm 17:6-9.

Seeking God’s guidance on how to operate is critical if we are to remain true to our mission in His plan for us. May we constantly check with Him so that we do not go off course and do our own thing. And part of the mission is loving and serving others. Matthew 3:7-10.

Our quest to help others may not always be appreciated. Let us not expect anything in return when we help. We show love because God expects us to love others, and one way of showing love is supporting others. Luke 17:11-19.

May we keep praying for the salvation of the oppressed and helping the needy as the Lord directs us. May we be available for the Lord’s work and stand in the gap against the wicked. May the Lord hear our cry and fight for us and deliver the oppressed. Isaiah 58:8-14.

Paul in his letter to the Ephesians stresses the importance of unity and proper Christian living, amongst other things. The believers must have needed that for him to address it in the letter. What are your needs today? What aspect of God’s character would minister to your need? Is it Jireh, Elohim, Rapha, Nissi? May you experience Him. Ephesians 6:21-24.

Having confidence that God loves us should help us overcome doubts about who we are in Him. But we should also purpose to remain in Him so that we remain available to experience His love and to be a vessel He can use. 1 John 4:17-18.
