1 John 4:16 reminds us that we can rely on God’s love for us. We can’t manage to love consistently on our own. Also, to know that He loves us is very reassuring. May we never forget that.

As we go through the processes we are in, what do we do? Operating in God’s love will help us preserve. By loving God and mankind we shall be doing His will. It will also keep us affirmed as His children. We shall also avoid sulk mode and make us a blessing to others. It will fill us with joy. 1 John 4:7-12.

Praying constantly as we are led by the Holy Spirit keeps us alert about what is happening in and around us. Releasing ourselves to the Lord in this manner will allow Him to work in us and through us to minister to others in need. Ephesians 6:18 & Romans 8:26.

The Christian’s most powerful resource is communion with God through prayer. The results are often greater than we thought were possible. So, don’t let prayer be a last resort when all else fails. James 5:13-18; Philippians 4:6.

We should not underestimate the power of prayer. As we go through challenges or experience victory, let us remember to involve other brethren in prayer. God honours prayers of faith and agreement. Walking the journey of life with fellow believers is critical. James 5:13-18.

To be able to hear God concerning us and those around us, we need to desire goodness for others. We need to seek God and trust that He will reveal Himself in our circumstances. We need to shun hatred and embrace love. Luke 6:37-45.

When we experience the hand of God at work in our lives, may we never forget that it is He that propped us up and continues to sustain us. One critical mistake people make is to rely on their wisdom. Asa did extremely well in his first 35 years at the helm. In his 36th year, he did something so natural, copied what his father had done. That was his undoing. God sent word, but instead of repentance, the king was consumed by anger. Then he felt God had disowned him, such that even in sickness, he refused to depend on God. May we never forget to rely on Jehovah. 2 Chronicles 16:1-14
