Once in a while, my wife and I pause and take stock of how faithful God has been to us. We are always amazed at all He has been to us and done for us. What also amazes us is all He has done for others around us. Take time and reflect on this. I hope it will encourage you and that you will be refreshed in your journey of faith. James 5:17-18.

The same scripture shows us that we can also draw encouragement from the testimony of others. James gives the example of Elijah the prophet. It may sound like an incident in the distant past, but the same God we serve came through to show His glory. What is your context today? May your faith in God grow as you experience Him in your situation and may your testimony encourage you and those around you. James 5:13-18.

Even as we purpose to pray for one another, let us consider the words of James 5:13-18. Faith in the King of kings is a good place to start. Let us believe that He is the creator of the universe and yet He desires to relate with us. He loves us that much. Have you reciprocated by loving Him? It is such an honour that this great and mighty God has offered His love to us. We are so fortunate.

James 5:16b teaches us that we should take time to pray for others and for issues around us. We may underestimate the potency of our prayers. One way of knowing what to pray for is by spending time with others in fellowship. Hear other people’s joys, pains, concerns and purpose to pray for them. Let us also check on one another frequently.

And as we allow the Lord to have His way in our lives, may He fill us up and everything that concerns us. May everything about us just radiate His glory. May His will be done in every situation concerning us. Ephesians 1:22-23.

May our lives be a manifestation of the character of our Creator, Jehovah. May the evidence of His presence in us not be in doubt, whether it is seen through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, or the hope of His glorious inheritance or His power. Ephesians 1:17-20.

And as we purpose to accept God to be Lord of our lives above all else, may we also be recipients of His grace, mercy and power. May we get to know Him better and to grow in our experience of who He is and who we are in Him. Ephesians 1:17-20.

The Lord making us objects of His glory is His prerogative. We do not earn it. Our part is to believe in Him and in His ability to save. May we choose Him and become His children for the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:11-14.

There are things that God wants to set us free from. Will you allow Him? Let us take time to pray about them. Let us ask Him to get rid of them. These are things that stop us from fully experiencing Him. We were created to be objects of His glory. Ephesians 1:1-14.

The thing is, once the Lord purposes to use an individual, it doesn’t matter what circumstances he/she is in. The Lord will prepare the person and use them. All around us, there is need and the Lord is seeking men and women who would yield to Him so that He can use them for His glory. May we have the patience to seek Him and find out. He will do the rest. Isaiah 1:18-20.
