One sure way to avoid sin is do deal with evil desires. Seek God’s help before they become temptations which then conceive sin. Share abd pray with brethren who can hold you accountable before that conception happens. Trust God’s help in each circumstance and give glory to Him especially when you experience victory. James 1:13-15; James 5:16.

May we not be counted amongst the wicked, amongst those who do not fear God. May we choose to be on God’s side and to live for Him. May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable to God. Psalm 14:1-7.

In 2 Kings 9:14-37, 2 prophecies that God had made concerning Joram and Jezebel come to pass. This goes to show the greatness of God and the power of His word. May the Lord grant us peace and may we fear Him enough to obey Him.

With God’s help, let us avoid what would lead us into sin and do what His word prescribes. Let us flee like Joseph if we have to and avoid moral filth as James 1:19-25 states. May we strive to avoid anger and evil and meditate on God’s word which can save us.

Let us therefore depend on the Holy Spirit to make us sensitive to sin. This will hopefully help us avoid it. Sin may have many consequences. We all sin. The believer in Christ has the benefit of His sacrifice on the cross at Calvary as a remedy for sin. May we not readily sin because of that benefit. Romans 3:21-26.

We are fortunate to live in the dispensation of grace. Christ came, lived here and died for our sins. That dies not give us the license to lead lawless lives. May His life model how we ought to live, in this world but not according to its values. We cannot do this without His help. Philippians 1:3-11.

God is holy. He maintains His standards. We are the ones to make adjustments to suit His will for us. When He punishes us, it is out of love. As a father, He desires a relationship with His children. Even after allowing His children to be banished into exile, He restored them as He had promised. Punishment was meted for their sin, but He still restored them. Jeremiah 30:1-24.

Jehovah let His children journey through the wilderness for 40 years to train them. Like the rest of us, they were stubborn and often went against His will. But due to His love for them, He showed them mercy over and over again. This Holy God was angered by their sin, but still kept His promise to them. Deuteronomy 1:1-8.

We also serve God who is holy. As He enables us, let us lead holy lives. With His help we can overcome any obstacle. The Holy Spirit has also been deployed to empower us to lead lives that please God. 1 Peter 1:13-16

The Lord we worship is mighty. He deserves our adoration. We have read and seen what He has done and can do. We are privileged to have access to Him, but let us never forget how majestic He is. Revelation 4:1-11.
