So, there is good reason for praising God at all times. Even when we face difficult times, let us purpose to praise Him. The scripture reminds us that irrespective of what we are going through, all things work together for good for those that love God and have been called according to His purpose. He has a plan and even when we can’t see it, let us believe He is doing His will. The bare minimum we can do is accept His invitation to walk with Him and to constantly relate with Him. Romans 8:28-30

Let us praise the Lord for all the benefits we receive as His children. He forgives us, redeems us, showers us with His love. He heals our diseases, gives us our desires, renews our strength and works righteousness and justice for the oppressed. He reveals His will to us. He is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding is love. He does not treat us according to our sins. He is merciful. Let us thank Him for eternal life through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Let us praise Him for these and all other benefits. Psalm 103:1-22.

Let us appreciate God for the role He plays in our lives. He can rebuke and correct us when we go astray. He can redirect us when we lose direction. That can save our lives or help us avoid much pain and suffering. May we be willing to follow His lead. Luke 19:45-46.

The Lord is worthy of our praise and worship because of what He does beyond what we see or comprehend. He fights our battles, orders our steps and ensures His promises come to pass. May we not miss out on what He is doing. May we remain in His plan and experience mercy. Luke 19:41-44.

The safest place is God’s presence. Whether I am certain or unsure, it is the best place to be. While rejoicing or mourning, it is a safe refuge. I may not have all the answers I need, but I’d rather be close to Him who knows all things. Psalm 73:23-28.

What causes us to be afraid? What makes us have no peace and lose sleep? What makes us so scared that we fall sick? Bring it to the Lord in prayer. Believe that He can deal with it. Trust that He can enable you to have peace even when your existence is threatened. Isaiah 41:10-20.

What motivates us? Is it something God would be proud of? Do we trust Him to guide every step we take? Are we confident that He knows what is best for us? Philippians 2:1-11.

Jesus predicted that Peter would deny knowing Him (John 13:38). He knew in advance that that would happen. Peter had no clue and swore he would never betray Him. It came to pass in John 18:17. That’s how well God knows us. May we trust what He says concerning us. May He be gracious enough to speak to us and may we heed what He says.

It is not easy having the patience of Joseph while facing rejection and going through challenges. It is the grace of God that sustains one in such circumstances. He held on to the dream God had shown Him, but He didn’t have details of what would happen. May the Lord show us what He wants to do in our lives. May we be patient and depend on Him as we wait for the fulfillment of His promise. May His promises come to pass and may we remain faithful for our calling in Him. Genesis 37:5-11; 50:22-25.
