The greatness of Jehovah is not determined by the amazing testimonies we have witnessed or heard about. He is greater than all that. Ours is to believe that and to trust Him. May our circumstances not determine the level of our faith. May our understanding of His greatness keep increasing as we grow in our faith. May we then shift our perspective from our circumstances to the understanding of who God is and what His will for us is. Matthew 27:50-54.

The Lord is pleased when we choose to obey Him. Zerubabbel would have chosen to disobey the Lord. May we not be afraid, when the Lord instructs us to do something. May we hear clearly and obey. May the Lord be pleased with us and work through us for His glory. And may He relent when we seek clarification. Zachariah 4:10-14.

The task of rebuilding the temple was a huge responsibility. If I were Ezra and Zerubbabel, I would have been intimidated. Let us therefore pray for others, especially for anyone God has given a special task. Stand in the gap for them so that they may succeed. This may benefit you and others. 1 Timothy 2:1-4.

The temple of the Lord was destroyed when His children were taken captive. God later commissioned Ezra and Zerubbabel to lead the efforts to rebuild it. These Israelites were surrounded by people who discouraged them. Zachariah 4:6-10.

Rituals are meant to remind us about our faith. They should not be what we focus on for deliverance, revelation, etc. We should fix our eyes on God. May Easter not just be another ritual. May the sacrifice of Jesus redeem us and may His resurrection bring us hope of eternity and the understanding that nothing is too difficult for God. 1 Corinthians 15:3-34.

May the understanding of Easter cause our eyes to be opened. May we see what the Lord did for mankind and rejoice. May this change in perspective invigorate our walk on this side of eternity. Isaiah 35:1-8.

May we have many reasons to tell the next generation about the greatness of Jehovah. May the Lord find us worthy enough to be a recipient and carrier of His glory. May there be evidence of Him in our lives. Psalm 145:3-7

Jesus endured scorn, beating and crucifixion to save mankind. He willingly went through the pain and suffering out of love for you and me. How do we respond to this love? Do we understand that the aim of His pain and suffering was to set us free? Matthew 27:45-54.

Was the symbolism of the breaking of the bread and the drinking of the wine at the last supper understood by the disciples? Did the weight of Jesus’s words make them realise the importance of what Christ was about to experience for the sake of mankind? And do I appreciate what He did for me on the cross? Do His broken body and shed blood mean something to me? Matthew 26:26-29.

Jesus knew exactly what would happen to Him. He predicted the betrayal by Judas. The disciples could not believe that it would be one of them who would betray Jesus. May the Lord give us insight to understand some of the things that will happen to us and around us. May this inspire us to intercede more and align to God’s will. Matthew 26:14-25.
