So once again, scripture affirms the coming of Jesus for the salvation of mankind. That’s the reason for the season. May the reality of this amazing sacrifice be something we hold dear. May Christ live in us and may His presence impact our lives and the lives of those we encounter for our benefit and His glory. Merry Christmas 🎅. Acts 13:18-25.

Why should we celebrate the birth of Christ, the coming of our Saviour? His coming brought deliverance and redemption. He did what the law of Moses could never have done for mankind. What an amazing sacrifice. That is amazing love. Acts 13:38-39.

As Christians, we belong to a rich heritage. We are blessed to be part of this heritage. May we operate with understanding and jealously guard our relationship with God. He has invested heavily in us. Acts 13:16-27.

Would we have recognized Jesus if we had lived during his 33-year mission on earth? Or would we be among those who rejected and crucified Him? This question makes me look inward and sesrch my heart. May we be sensitive to His guidance. Matthew 21:33-44.

I’m encouraged more to live for God as I understand more clearly about what He did for me. The amount of work the Israelites had to do to meet the requirements for sacrifice was challenging. But the Lord made it easier for us by sending His son as a sacrifice for me and you. 2 Kings 16:15-16.

Our task is to understand more and more how much God loves us and, in turn, to emulate that love. He loved us so much, that He gave us His best, His son. We should love Him too by living for Him and that involves loving like Him. 1 John 3:16-18.

What was God’s motivation for starting His mission of seeking and saving the lost? LOVE. He was and is driven by love. He was saddened by the way man veered away from Him, and He has made major attempts to woo man back to Himself. The destruction of the tower of Babel, the flood during Noah’s time, the sending of Christ are examples of that. 1 John 4:9-11.

Who are the lost? We can generalize and say the lost person is anyone who is not in his or her God appointed place. Those are the people Christ came to restore to Himself. We all fall into that category of the lost at one time or other due to ignorance, disobedience, or agreements that take us away from God. And since those sent to gather the lost did not do it, Christ came. Ezekiel 34:1-16.

As we look forward to Christmas, what are we looking forward to? What is it that we want to celebrate? One thing that I want to focus more on this time is the fact that Christ came to seek and save the lost. Luke 19:1-10.

May we rest in the assurance that we are dealing with Jehovah, who knows us very well. There is no detail about us that He does not know. May we get to know ourselves better with His help. May He keep revealing Himself to us as well. Psalm 139:1-18.
