Just like Israel had enemies who were bent on destroying her, the devil may use people to attack us so that we are not effective for the establishment of God’s kingdom, so that we don’t prosper & have a clear witness of God’s faithfulness & love. May the Lord deal with such evil firmly & deliver us from oppression. Isaiah 25:1-12.

Some of the decisions we make May affect our relationships with others. In Luke 12:49-53, Jesus warned the Jews that following Him would even affect family relationships. May the Lord give us wisdom & grace to make the right decisions for 2019 & the future, & to still be able to impact those around us positively for His glory.

At times the path of the righteous doesn’t seem smooth & it isn’t easy doing God’s will, but we are never alone. During tough times, God is there to guide us through & to comfort us. Ours is to keep our minds focused on Him. He will also give us people to walk with us. Surrounding oneself with His word also helps. Isaiah 26:7-11.
