About 700 years before Christ came, Isaiah prophesied about Him and about some of the things He will do. Christmas is not a fairy tale. Christ came to bring salvation before judgement. Let us reflect on the reason for this visitation and live with understanding. Isaiah 11:1-5.

The other amazing thing the coming of the Saviour did for His children is freeing us from the shackles of sin & death. That’s another thing that makes the celebration of His coming to earth so special. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful God. Colossians 2:13-14.

According to Colossians 2:6-12, we are encouraged not only to accept the Lord, but to continue being rooted in Him so that we may experience God’s fullness at work in our lives! This is God’s gift to us. This is my focus this Christmas, that I would experience this fullness of God in increasing measure going forward, the full power & presence of God!

Who is this God we seek? What does He expect of us? Considering what He did and continues to do for us, He is definitely a loving God. Our actions then should be driven by love, if we are going to reflect Him; tough love sometimes. He never gives up on us, neither should we give up on ourselves or on others Colossians 2:6-12.

An act of obedience could lead to the transformation of many lives, just like happened to Ananias and Saul in Acts 9:1-18. God had a plan for both of them, but they also had a role to play. As a result, most of the books in the new testament were written by Saul. Is there something that the Lord wants you to do?

God loves to show mercy on those who repent. He does not do it grudgingly, rather He is glad when we acknowledge our wrongdoing & desire to turn away from it. Malachi 7:18-20.

The amazing thing is that even when we make the dumbest mistake, the heavenly Father still loves the repentant sinner. We would rather run into the arms of an angry God than turn away from Him. Isaiah 57:14-21.

Proverbs 1:22-33 depicts the plight of those who choose to ignore godly wisdom. I am sure we can all identify with the two positions mentioned in that portion of scripture. May we be encouraged to choose wisely. May the Lord help us.
