I may be mortal and fallible, but I serve the Lord God almighty. He is my ever present help, a resource that is always available to me. I choose to depend on Him, not on my own strength. I purpose to fear and honour Him. May I find favour in His sight. Psalm 103:15-18.

I purpose to invoke faith continuously as I journey through life. I have decided to make the Lord’s presence my dwelling place. I am tired of looking over my shoulder in fear. I will rest in the shadow of His wings and depend on Him. I will trust in His help. Psalm 91:1-16.

Whether we have all that we need or we are in distress, our perspective of God should not change. He remains God. Being content, whatever the circumstances would help us a great deal. Having the confidence that He can help us irrespective of what we are faced with would not only encourage others. It would also require a lot of faith and build our trust in Him. Philippians 4:10-13

Jehovah is merciful and knows what we are all going through. Nothing catches Him by surprise. He promises over and over again that He will take care of us. Psalm 34:15-18 is one such promise. May we experience His love when we are brokenhearted.

What credit can the Israelites take for the events of Exodus 14:17-30? What role did they play in that amazing episode? They were totally helpless and had to depend on the Lord 100%. In a state of utter helplessness, we must learn to depend on God fully, then allow Him to take all the glory. He sometimes allows us to be in such situations so that we acknowledge that without Him, we are cooked.

Sometimes, our faith can be shaken by events. We may be unable to comprehend why we go through suffering and pain. When we can’t understand or explain, the best thing is to allow the Lord to fight for us, to comfort and encourage us. May we allow Him to minister to us. He speaks through His word, circumstances, people, a song, etc. Be still and listen. Exodus 14:10-16.

Our trust in God should cause us to be desperate for the change we want to see. Blind Bartimaeus believed Jesus could heal him. Despite being reprimanded to shut up, his desperation made him call out to God harder. And that led to his healing. Let us not get tired calling out to our God, and let us believe that God can help us. Mark 10:46-52

We also have to learn to trust God, for He knows us better than we know ourselves. If I were Moses, I would also have doubted that I would become the deliverer of Israel from Egypt. After a long discussion, Moses decided to trust God. May the Lord show us what to do, and may we trust Him. May this bring hope and victory to the glory of His name. Exodus 4:10-17.

May the victories bring hope, and may our faith grow as a result because we serve a faithful God. He promised that a childless man would be the father of nations, that his barren wife would give birth in old age. He even went ahead to seal his promise with an oath. May He stir up our hope and cause us and many to believe. May the seemingly impossible be made possible for His glory. Hebrews 6:13-20

Victory, however small, goes a long way in giving us the encouragement to keep working towards our goal. May the Lord grant us victory often. May He have mercy on us and cause us to experience breakthrough after breakthrough. Amen. Psalm 44:1-8.
