One way of building each other is maintaining unity in the faith we profess. This requires that we be humble and patient with one another and make every effort to live in peace. Others need to see Christ in our lives despite our imperfections. Ephesians 4:1-5.

May we participate in rebuilding broken lives as the Lord guides and enables us. May we be part of those the Lord uses to help a brother or sister who needs to be encouraged or helped. May the Lord make us worthy of that honour for His glory. Galatians 6:9-10.

And as we desire to prosper, may we also desire to grow in wisdom and understanding. The benefits are peace, long life, riches and honour. The bible says nothing we desire compares to it. It is more profitable than gold. Proverbs 3:13-18.

We sometimes need discipline and a rebuke from the Lord. We want the Lord to bless us, but we don’t want His guidance after that. May we be humble enough to hear from the Lord and follow His guidance. Proverbs 3:9-12.

Knowing God involves finding His divine purpose for our lives and walking in it. When we do that, we shall do exploits, even in bleak circumstances. May we discover our divine purpose and stick to it. Deviating from it has consequences. Proverbs 3:1-10.

Let us also praise God because He is a mighty Saviour. When things look bleak, He is the one who can deliver us from calamity. Daniel’s vision of the kings of the North and South in Daniel 11 are frightening. But there is hope in verse 32. May we be counted as those who know Jehovah.

What is making us angry? Are we angry at someone? What is God asking us to do about that person or thing or situation that is causing us so much pain? Are we angrier when things seem to go well for that person or thing? May we learn from Jonah’s experience. May the Lord open our eyes to His will concerning them or the situation. Jonah 4:1-11.

The Lord is compassionate and loving. He also spoke to Jonah a second time, sending him to speak to the people. He forgave the Ninevites after they genuinely repented. Jonah 3:1-10.

No place is too far for the Lord. He can reach you wherever you are. He rescued Jonah from the depths of the sea. Jonah repented and was rescued. May we turn back to the Lord because He alone is our help, refuge and salvation. Jonah 2:1-10.
